Benjamin Alexander Bondurant was born on November 25th, 1996 at 5:26 PM. He was, at the time, 9 pounds 9 ounces. The name "Stark Bongo" is a nickname we have for him, an amalgam of Stacy Gordon and Mark Bondurant (please see The Name Poll Results).

The picture at the left is a picture of Stacy on the night before his birth, basicly at her biggest. These days I look at him and I look at her, and wonder how it was managed. And, looking at this picture, how she managed to smile once it was done.

Benjamin Alexander was named after Benjamin Franklin and Alexander the Great. Benjamin Franklin for this thrift, industry, and way the the ladies. Alexander the Great for his dedication, tenacity, and leadership.

Benjamin's size made a vaginal birth impossible, so he was born by ceasarian section. When he came out there was a neat round dome shaped impression of Stacy's pelvic bones in his head. Any further attempts at a regular birth would have caused him brain damage or even death.
