t was in June that Benjamin got to meet the real Surfer Joe! He had been in to surf music for some time when we felt that he really needed to see some real surfers. We arranged a family outing down the beach at County Line. There was a surfer there who was actually filming the other surfers from a surf board himself, and when he came in and walked up the hill past us, Benjamin asked him if he was Surfer Joe. He answered with a thoughtful smile, "well, you know, I guess I am." Benjamin was on cloud nine.

u Jitzu move over, the kids all take Karate these days. Benjamin is enrolled in the Camarillo TaeKwonDo Academy. Because the tiger cubs class meets during the day when we can't attend, he is enrolled in the regular kids class. He is therefore the smallest and youngest in his class and has taken on the role of class mascot. He is something terribly cute to watch as he practices.
